课程简介和目标:
随着信息时代的到来,离散数学的重要性逐渐被人们认识。离散数学是现代数学的一个重要分支。离散数学的研究对象是离散量,研究各种各样离散量的结构及其之间的关系。
《离散数学》在基础数学研究中具有极其重要的地位,是信息与计算科学的基础,同时又是一门应用基础学科,其应用遍及现代科学技术的诸多领域,有着广阔的实际应用。
《离散数学》可以培养抽象思维、慎密概括和严密逻辑推理能力,掌握证明问题的方法;可以掌握处理离散结构的描述工具和方法;可以为后续课程的学习打下坚实的理论基础。

Description:
With the coming of information times, the importance of discrete mathematics is realized gradually. Discrete mathematics is an importance branch of modern mathematics. Its research objects are discrete variables, and its research contents are construction and relation between discrete variables.
Discrete mathematics plays an important role in basic mathematics research, it is also the base of major of information and Computation Science. Meanwhile, it is a applied basic object. The applications of discreate mathematics concern many regions widely.
Discrete mathematics can train students to think abstractly, to summarize deliberately,to reason logically and to master the way to prove. Discrete Mathematics will lay a sold base for following objects.
Methods of Summative Assessment:
Assessment: Assessments done during semester (100%)
Reassessment: best of 3 hour resit examination (100%)
Attendance at tutorials is a required element of this module.
