课程简介:

本课程为国际商务的介绍性课程,课程的基本内容包括:(1)概述开展国际交易的方法,着重介绍国际交易与国内交易的区别;(2)国家的社会系统对进行国家交易的影响;(3)国际商业交易的主要理论以及影响国际交易行为的机构;(4)金融交易系统及促进国际交易的机构;(5)国家与公司之间为进行涉外商务活动开展的互动;(6)公司开展全球业务的战略选择;(7)很大程度上属于功能性学科的国际活动。

 

教学目标和效果:

本课程通过一些有关国际商务的热点及必要话题,达到以下教学目标:

1.理解企业在国际环境中经营面临的挑战;

2.了解和讨论影响国际商务活动的各种政治经济、法律和文化问题。

3.回顾国际贸易政策工具,讨论政府干预国际贸易的各种借口;

4.理解国际直接投资理论,评价国际商务活动中的企业与政府间的互动;

5.洞察国际商务活动与国际商务经营的管理含义。

 

教学效果:

通过本课程的学习,使学生能够:

1.概括国际商务手段,重点区分国际商务与国内商务;

2.影响国际商务活动的各国社会体系;

3.解释国际商务交易的各种理论和影响国际商务活动的制度。

4.尝试指导国外商务活动的国家与企业间的动态交流;

5.全球经营的企业战略选择;

6.国际商务实践。

 

考核方式:

本课程采用平时成绩加期末闭卷考试的方式记录学生成绩。平时成绩占40%,其中出勤率占10%,作业/专题/测试等占30%;期末闭卷考试占60%。

Module Description:

This is an introductory course in international business. The basic content of the course includes (1) an overview of the means of conducting international business, with an emphasis on what makes international different from domestic; (2) the effects of the social systems within countries on the conduct of international business; (3) the major theories explaining international business transactions and the institutions influencing those activities; (4) the financial exchange systems and institutions that measure and facilitate international transactions; (5) the dynamic interface between countries and companies attempting to conduct foreign business activities; (6) corporate strategy  alternatives for global operations; and (7) international activities that fall largely within functional disciplines.

 

Learning Outcome and Objectives:

The course through some hot and necessary topics on international business discussion to:

1.Understand the different challenges businesses face when they operate in an international environment;

2.Examine the various cultural, political and legal issues that impact international business activities;

3.Review instruments of trade policy and discuss the case for government intervention;

4.Understand FDI theories and appreciate the interaction of business and government as they relate to international commerce;

5.Develop insight into the management implications of international business strategy and operations.

 

Assessment:

The final grades will be developed from students’ class attendance, weekly assignments/ projects/test and one closed written exams. The percentage breakdown of these requirements is as follows:

Final Exam 60%
