个人简介

Simon Baker 博士,现任伯明翰大学数学学院讲师,为动力系统和拓扑科研组成员。

Simon对遍历理论、分形几何和数论感兴趣。具体研究领域包括beta扩展、丢番图近似和迭代函数系统。他定期应邀在英国和国外举行的活动上发表演讲。

2014年 获得英国曼彻斯特大学数学博士学位

2010年 获得华威大学一等荣誉理学学士学位

  

Simon2010年从华威大学毕业后,前往曼彻斯特大学攻读博士学位,在Richard Sharp教授和 Dr. Nikita Sidorov.博士的指导下完成了纯数学博士学位。完成博士学位后,他在乌得勒支大学(University of Utrecht)担任Karma Dajani博士的研究助理。此后一年他回到曼彻斯特大学,接受EPSRC的博士奖学金。随后他在雷丁大学担任了一年的理查德·拉多博士后研究员后回到华威大学在马克·波利科特教授的指导下工作。

  

20199月以来,担任伯明翰大学数学学院的讲师。

  

研究领域

Simon的研究领域包括遍历理论、分形几何和数论。他对将丢番图近似的思想应用于重叠迭代函数系统的研究很感兴趣。他特别感兴趣的是,一个著名的辛钦定理的适当类比是否具有普遍性。
