课程简介:
与《初级宏观经济学》不同,本课程主要关注宏观经济学理论,而不是宏观经济现象。本课程聚焦于宏观经济学的基本分析工具和模型的学习,主要内容包括:宏观经济与宏观经济学简介、基本的两期经济模型、索洛模型、拉姆齐-卡斯-库普曼斯模型、世代交叠模型、新增长模型和真实经济周期模型。
课程目标:
本课程的目的是:按照研究生入门水平或高年级本科生水平,介绍现代宏观经济学的分析方法和模型。通过该课程的学习,学生将掌握以下能力:运用基本的宏观经济学模型来分析宏观经济现象,设计简单的宏观经济学模型并能运用标准的数理方法求解。

Intermediate Macroeconomics

Pre-requisite: Introduction to Microeconomics,Introduction to Macroeconomics
Module Description:
Different from and more advanced than The Principles of Economics, this course is an introduction to intermediate macroeconomics theory rather than macroeconomics issues and the course concentrates on basic macroeconomic analysis tools and basic macroeconomic models. Topics include introduction to macro-economies and macroeconomics, basic two-period economics model, the Solow growth model, the Ramsey–Cass–Koopmans model, the overlapping-generations model, endogenous growth model and real business cycle model.
Learning Outcome and Objectives:
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the research methods of modern macroeconomics and to some modern macroeconomic models at an entry graduate level or senior undergraduate level. By the end of the course the students should be able to: understand basic macroeconomics models to describe macro-economy; model simple macroeconomics models and solve the problems with standard mathematical methods.
Assessment:
30% on class exercises and presentations, 70% on a 2 hours written examination
