课程描述:

本课程专为经济学和金融学专业的本科生开设,使其得以全面了解货币银行、债权债务、支付工具与单据、操作风险控制等等基本原理。通过本课程的学习,学生们可以从专业上认识到经济学和金融学为核心的货币金融领域的新知识、新发现和新发展。让学生们能够从国际视角来窥视和掌握一些银行相关业务和背景知识,以及支撑其运作的理论依据。

 

课程目标:

本课程为有兴趣了解经济和金融相关知识,希望进一步学习货币与银行的重要功能,信贷,支付工具和手段以及如何控制经营风险的本科生开设。在此前提下,本课程试图以简单的方式讲授货币金融学的,并向学生介绍金融学方向的令人兴奋的最新发现和发展。这些新发现和发展中的许多都发生在过去几年,是经济学和金融学主要范例的延伸。本课程涵盖的内容从一个想了解以国际业务为主的企业的银行业务的人的角度考虑,因此,学习本课程后,学生们应该能更容易了解货币银行的基本原理和业务。

 

通过学习本课程,学生们有望掌握货币、信贷、金融机构和金融工具等方面的基本原理和方法。

 

考核方式:

每章结尾均设计有各种形式的练习,学生成绩除期终考试外,其课堂表现和出勤率等均纳入最终成绩计算当中。

Monetary Finance

Pre-requisite: macro-µ economics, basic accounting


Module Description:

Undergraduates majoring in economics &/or finance are to be presented with something in this course about the critical function of money and banking, debts and credits, the instruments and documents for payment, the control of operational risks, etc. This course tries to guide the students to the new and exciting discoveries and developments in the dynamic and rapidly expanding field of finance.  In addition, this course also sets off from the perspective of a person who wishes to learn about the banking of an international oriented business. Thus, the participants in this course are supposed to get acquainted with some basic principles and practices of monetary finance.

 

Learning Outcome and Objectives:

This course is designed for the undergraduates, who have interest in the knowledge of economics and finance, wishing to go to learn something about the critical function of money and banking, debts and credits, the instruments and documents for payment, the control of operational risks. By assuming these prerequisites, this course tries to present an easy study in money and banking specifically and also to introduce the students to the new and exciting discoveries and developments in the dynamic and rapidly expanding field of finance. These discoveries and development, many of which have occurred during the last few years, are extensions of the central paradigms of economics and finance. The topics in this course are covered from the perspective of a person who wishes to learn about the banking of an international oriented business. Therefore, students are supposed to find an easier access to the basic principles and practices concerned after taking this course, than before.

By learning the course, students are to master the general principles and basic theories of finance which consists of four parts: principles of Money, credit, financial institutions, financial adjustment, etc.

 

Assessment:

The course is mainly conducted through class lectures, together with students’ self-reading and discussion. In addition, lots of exercises and assignments are designed to be done within and/or outside the classroom. The final exam is a must, but students’ participation and performance are also to be taken into the final account.
