Module Description：

Mathematical modeling is particularly useful in analyzing many aspects of economic theory. Course content includes the study of several mathematical models used in economics. Considerable emphasis is placed on the economic motivation and interpretation of the models in question. Guide students through the process of developing and analyzing formal economic models and effectively communicate their results. Topics include decision theory, game theory, voting and matching, and more.The module is aimed at beginning students of statistics and practitioners who would like to fully understand the theory and key numerical techniques of statistics. It is based on a progression of undergraduate statistics courses at The University of Queensland and the Australian National University. Parts of the book have also been successfully tested at the University of New South Wales. Emphasis is laid on the mathematical and computational aspects of statistics.
